Join us for the unique New Bremen Historic Bicycle Tour which starts at 9 am on Saturday, October 10 at the restored Miami and Erie Canal Lock in New Bremen. 8-9 am: Registration at Bicycle Museum of America. Suggested donation of $10 goes to save the Gem City Ice Cream Company building, the site of the Wright brothers’ first bicycle shop. 9 am: The 12 miles bicycle tour will feature the Miami and Erie Canal, which traverses New Bremen north to south. Miami and Erie Canal museum Director Neal Brady will discuss the canal at 9am at the restored canal lock behind the Bicycle Museum of America.
11 am: Lunch on your own 12 noon: Demonstration of historic bicycles by the Wheelmen in the Bicycle Museum of America parking lot. 1 pm: Tour of the Bicycle Museum of America, which includes the largest bicycle collection of any museum in the world. 2 pm: Ohio Bicycle Federation meeting. AUTO DIRECTIONS: 1. Take I-75 north from Dayton 40 miles to Exit 93. 2. Turn left (NW) onto SR 29. 3. Take SR 29 northwest for 11 miles to SR 274. 4. Follow SR 274 west to New Bremen. 5. The Bicycle Museum of America is on SR 274, which is called Monroe Street in New Bremen. |
