Twisted Pretzel Tour
The Twisted Pretzel Tour is an all-ages, family friendly bike ride through scenic Germantown and Farmersville and the surrounding countryside. Whatever flavor of person-powered pedal-pusher you prefer is welcome on the Tour: unicycle, bicycle, tricycle, quadcycle, tandem, come-along, BMX or hybrid. Prefer a Pederson or a penny-farthing? All are welcome to join the fun!
Four routes (8 mi, 21 mi, 39 mi, 50 mi) provide options for all ages and skills. Two breaks (1 for the shortest route) offer warm pretzels and toppings along with standard ride fare such as yogurt, fruit and water. The routes are flat to gently rolling with the longer routes traveling over the scenic Germantown dam (and down, not up, the dam hill). You’ll know the ride is almost over when you rumble across the wooden planks of the historic Germantown covered bridge.
The ride is held in conjunction with the Germantown Pretzel Festival and is sponsored by the Germantown Lions. The Twisted Pretzel Tour is a Charity Event with all proceeds benefiting local food pantries and civic organizations. Last year over $10,000 was distributed to 11 local food banks and civic organizations!
