Constitutional Amendment Proposal Vote Results
Published on 7/1/2019
This constitutional amendment would reduce the size of the elected Board of Directors, making it easier to reach a quorum and allow for more efficient board meetings. Current board positions that are not being carried over to the new reduced size board will continue to exist as volunteer positions but will no longer be considered board positions requiring attendance at board meetings. As always, everyone will be welcome to attend board meetings.
The constitutional amendment would replace the following language in Article IV:
The following officers shall be elected by the Adult membership, from the membership, in the manner directed by the bylaws: (1) President, (2) Vice President, (3) Secretary, (4) Treasurer, (5) Touring Captain, (6) Newsletter Editor, (7) Huffman Spring Classic Director, (8) Wright Wride Director, (9) Membership Director, (10) Social Director, (11) Bikeways Director, and (12) WebMaster.
The new language would be:
The following officers shall be elected by the Adult membership, from the membership, in the manner directed by the bylaws: (1) President, (2) Vice President, (3) Secretary, (4) Treasurer, and (5) WebMaster.
The results were 65 votes in favor of the change, 1 vote opposed.
